Everything we sell is on hand in our warehouse, ready to go. We guarantee the best prices, fast and safe delivery of your order, together with great backup service. With our experience and years of expertise, you can order with complete confidence. How can your prices be so cheap?A few simple reasons: We keep our operating costs to a minimum; We are not greedy; We operate on a high volume / low margin model; And most importantly, we have exclusive direct relationships with many of the top international brands worldwide who provide us access to special wholesale deals. All this combined enables us to pass on massively discounted deals to you with prices that are often below the wholesale cost for your regular local snowboard store. Do you have a store where I can browse through the gear?No we don't. Our warehouse is located in Port Melbourne, but it's a traditional warehouse and not a retail store. You are welcome to collect your completed order from our warehouse at no charge, but we are not set-up for customers to be able to browse gear or pay for orders at the warehouse. Is the gear genuine?Yes, everything is brand new and 100% genuine. Top brands like Burton, LIB Tech, Salomon, Rome, Nitro, Flow, Sims, Oakley, Lamar, Find, Ocean & Earth, Spy, Anon, Dragon, Electric etc. It's all the real thing, only through us you'll get it much cheaper than at any regular snowboard / ski store. We guarantee it! Can I get a package discount if buying a board, boots & bindings etc?Yes, you can. We offer package discounts on many of our bindings, boots, bags etc if you order them at the same time as ordering a snowboard. This enables you to put together your own custom package at a great price. We also offer some suggested packages that offer great value. Is the gear covered by a warranty?Yes, rest assured as pretty much everything we sell is covered by a 12 month warranty that protects against defects in materials and workmanship. Compare this to the risk of buying gear directly from overseas where you'll have no warranty protection, so if you have any issues, you'll be on your own! What happens if I order something and it doesn't fit?Not a problem! All sales are covered by a 14 day no hassle exchange policy. Just shoot us an e-mail to let us know you want to exchange the item and then send it back within 14 days of receiving your order and we'll swap it over for you. Who pays for any additional shipping costs or taxes?For product exchanges, returns and warranty claims, the customer is responsible for all shipping costs. However, if we've sent you the wrong item by mistake (don't worry, it doesn't happen often), we'll cover the additional shipping costs to correct the mistake. International customers are responsible for any taxes or duties levied at the destination end. You're out of stock of an item I wanted, will you get more?Our stocks are limited and often sell out quickly. In most cases we are only able to get a certain quantity of any given item due to the special way we source gear. Once it's sold out, that's it and we are usually unable to get more of the same thing again. The best advice is if you see something you want, jump on it fast as it will not be available indefinitely. I'm after a specific item. Can you order it in for me?Usually everything we have available is listed online and we can't get individual items in on request. But that's not always the case, so feel free to ask if there is something in particular you are looking for. Can I Layby some gear?Sure you can! Payment terms are 3 equal payments over a maximum of 3 months. Goods are sent to you once your final payment has been received. Do the bindings come attached to the board?No, when you order bindings with your board they are boxed separately. However, attaching bindings to a snowboard is a very very easy process that only takes 2-3 minutes and requires no expert knowledge what-so-ever. Set-up instructions are included. All you need is a screwdriver - just remember never to use an electric screwdriver as you don't want to accidentally over-tighten the screws and rip out the thread (but you'd have to really tighten them hard to do this!). Is Discount Snowboards an Official Retailer of the brands stocked?We are an Official Retailer for some of the brands we stock, but not for others. If you would like to know the situation for a specific item/brand, please check with us. Basically, we parallel import a large amount of our stock directly from the brand owners overseas, thus avoiding the high mark-ups some of the local Australian distributor add, which then enables us to provide much better prices to our customers. |
